The iconic Ike Jacket is named after General Dwight D. "Ike" Eisenhower. The Ike Jacket began its career in November of 1944 when it first began getting issued to U.S. troops. These iconic jackets saw use by the Army all the way up until the late 1950s, finally being completely phased out by the Air Force in May of 1964. Throughout their almost 20-year long career, the Ike jackets forever cemented themselves in U.S. military history as they offered practicality, comfort, and versatility.
